Each country site for Permobil had a different mode of navigation, ran on it’s own site, and had a different list of products. It was very inconsistent. The US site had more products and needed to run on HubSpot. The goal was to create navigation similar to Permobil Academy for a service-oriented architecture.
We built real-time search with Algolia with filters, cleaned up the navigation bar, and introduced a zip code feature to the contact button.
Permobil had landing pages on different sites, and all looked different. They needed to make the user experience consistent everywhere. European sites had buggy search, and it wasn’t in real-time. It didn’t look unified, easy to navigate or consumer-friendly.
We built 2 pieces: a rebuilt navigation bar, similar to the Permobil academy page. Also built search components and features and grouped them under what we called the navigator. This pulls data and functionality from HubSpot and injects it into a website running on a different CMS using React.
Results after launching
There was consistency across the US sites and comprehensive searches were performed much faster.
