Similar to the Permobil Navigator, we built this Product Explorer for the US site, with an Airtable database and Algolia. This tool allows a customer to find the right wheelchair, not by product attributes, but by using their diagnosis and preferences via an image gallery and filters.
Problem Statement
Permobil needed an intuitive and consumer-friendly way for their customers to find the perfect fit and what they termed “a balanced ride” in a wheelchair, with a way to search by preferences, rather than brand/model number.
Solution
The Product Explorer stemmed out of the work we did for the Permobile Navigator and was built with an Airtable database and Algolia to power the search. We built a comprehensive set of filters for the consumer to find their perfect and balanced ride based on their diagnosis, movement style, weight, seating preferences, as well as key features such as frame style, materials, size, and so on…
Result after launching
Increased traffic, and less reliance on customer support to assist with inquiries.
